If you have a special event to celebrate, then finding the right party venue is crucial, so with a choice of rooms available, the Walnut Tree Inn, Northampton can cater for groups of 10 to 120 people.

Add to this, a variety of set menus to match every level of budget, 11 guest bedrooms, proximity to Northampton and easy road access via the A43 and Junction 15a of the M1, it couldn’t be easier to get the party started.

At the heart of your event will be our experienced functions management team who will work with you to ensure your guests have an unforgettable time while they are with us.

Whether it’s to celebrate an anniversary, a birthday, a christening/naming ceremony, an engagement or a retirement, we’ll help you put together your perfect package. From selecting menu options, to arranging table and room decorations, to providing specialist entertainers or musicians, our team will give you as much (or as little!) support as you require.

The Ellington Suite

Our large function room can accommodate up to 85 people for a seated meal or up to 120 for a finger buffet. It has its own bar and toilets as well as a separate entrance ensuring your total privacy for your event.

The Walnut Tree Inn, Northampton is a fully licensed music venue and can provide a variety of live musical talent to match the style and tone of your party. We also have our own state-of-the-art PA, disco and lighting set-up and can provide our own DJ to entertain your guests. Alternatively, you can provide your own entertainment, if preferred.

This main function room can be booked for £150 from 12.00-6.00pm or £220 from 6.00pm-1.00am or £300 for the whole day. Discounted rates are available Monday-Thursdays and Sundays.

Private dining

For a more intimate gathering, including private lunchtime and evening functions for up to 24 guests, this dining room is provided free of charge with full waiter service, for groups of 10 or more.

Depending on the size of your group, food can be selected from our main menu (10-15 guests) or from the party menu found in our ‘Celebrations’ brochure for 16-24 guests.

To Book

We require a deposit of £50 which will be deducted from your final bill.

For 11-15 guests: Select THREE ITEMS from each course of our main menu (please check which menu will be available on your chosen date, as our menus change with the seasons) to offer your guests and let us know the selection at least five days in advance of the booking.

For 16-24 guests: We can offer you our party menu (please see celebrations brochure). Select THREE ITEMS item from each course to offer your guests, we will need to know your final numbers and choices five days prior to booking date.

Al Fresco Menus

For those long summer nights, why not offer your guests one of our al fresco options. Available for bookings in our function room, we serve the menus below in our garden. In poor weather, the food would be served indoors.
