BARRY CASTAGNOLA, comedian, actor and writer, has firmly established himself as an accomplished comic performer. He has been performing stand-up in the UK and internationally for over 6 years since blagging his way onto the stage at The Comedy Store in Los Angeles. His easy-going (yet very physical) style, mixing personal anecdotes with some sharp topical and political comment, enthuses audiences at most of the major comedy clubs in the UK. As well as being a popular compere, Barry regularly headlines gigs around the country. He has performed in New York, Ireland, The Melbourne Comedy Festival, Glastonbury and The Reading Festival. TV stand up includes The Stand Up Show (BBC1) and Net.Comedy (Carlton).

Barry stormed the 2004 EDINBURGH FESTIVAL with his debut solo show, inspired by clearing out his childhood bedroom. The Importance of Not Being Too Earnest gained great critical acclaim.

“Such fun… An appealing hour of biographical stand up”
The Guardian
“A confident, likeable comic … It’s his self deprecating bemusement that provides the most hilarity”
“His blokey charm and willingness to make himself look ridiculous carry him through the trickiest of subject matter”

MARK SIMMONS is an exceptional one-liner comedian. It won him a place in Dave’s prestigious Best Joke of The Fringe in Edinburgh 2017. His solo show at the festival, One-Linerer was also a huge hit, with sell out shows every day and was nominated Best Show by the Amused Moose Comedy Award Fringe Show 2017. He then continued this success with his follow-up show, One-Linererer, which was also a sell out!

Mark is constantly on the rise and since being in the finals of several noteworthy competitions, such as Leicester Mercury Comedian of The Year, So You Think You’re Funny and the NATY Award, he has been in high demand for the top UK comedy clubs, such as Glee, Manford’s Comedy Club, Comedy Central and Just The Tonic, headlining the majority of them. Also, he has been recently supporting Seann Walsh, Rob Beckett and Rob Brydon on their national tours, as well as one off shows supporting Michael McIntyre, Sean Lock and Jack Dee.

“Master of one liners”

“A talented comic with an artisan’s grasp of joke-writing”

“Perfectly timed, clever one-liners”
Leicester Mercury
